Principles of Hydrotherapy. जल चिकित्सा के सामान्य मूलभूत सिद्धान्त
Hydrotherapy is a natural medicine, in which healing is done with the water element. But while doing medicine, we need to know the basic principles of hydrotherapy.
Here we will get information about hydrotherapy. In hydrotherapy, special attention is paid to the strength and body temperature of the patient. The patient's treatment is done keeping in mind the basic principles of hydrotherapy. Hydrotherapy is selected according to the disease and its location in the body.
1. To get rid of asthma, piles, boils and pimple, bath should be taken daily.
- One should not take bath while sitting in the heat of summer.
- One should not take bath in the open air during winters.
2. There are nine gates in the body and through these gates the feces continues to come out. This feces gets jammed in the body in semi solid form. Therefore, bath should be taken daily for its physical purification also.
3. For normal operation of activities like hunger, physical strength, skin color, removal of toxic substances, removal of sweat, feces etc., and to keep the blood pure, daily purification of the body with water is necessary. One should take bath twice in summer days.
4. The basic principle of hydrotherapy is that when cold water is poured on the body while taking a bath, the blood of the body moves towards the skin. Due to this the nervous system becomes active and the skin gets nourishment and the person expresses the experience of happiness. Diseases like insomnia are cured. Therefore, the realization of the above benefits is the basic principle of hydrotherapy. It cleanses the inner and outer and gives peace of mind.
5. Steam bath, hip bath, hot and cold bath, hot bath of the whole body, Sitz bath etc. are included in hydrotherapy.
6. Waterlogged soil coating (mud bath)
Water has the power to absorb fire. In feverish diseases, the temperature is reduced on the basis of this principle. Similarly, waterlogged soil also reduces the temperature of the body.
7. In the case of high fever, after placing a water-mixed earthen band under the navel (in which cold water is progressively filled), hip bath is taken at different temperatures . At the time of bath, a slight friction must be done on the body, due to which the stool accumulated on the body easily comes out and flows away.
8. The proper method should be selected from water therapy only after knowing properly after seeing the condition of the disease of the patient.
According to Adolf Just - Just as animals and birds complete their bathing process by immersing their bodies completely in water and then rubbing them in open space, they are on human thinking.
According to Adolf Just, the basic principles of hydrotherapy are as follows:
- The tub or water-harvesting vessel for bathing should be so big that a person can sit for a long time by gathering his feet in it.
- First of all, water should be sprinkled on the pelvis.
- Rubbing both the sides vigorously with water, the pelvic area should be rubbed.
- After cleaning the thighs, pelvis, anal area and testicles, the body should be washed.
- do not use hot water
- The tub should not be too deep and bath should be taken only for 2-10 minutes.
