Toxins and anti-toxins and their elimination

Toxins and anti-toxins and their elimination

Some repellents, combined with poison, neutralize its ill effects. For example, if the poison is a strong acid, the effect of the acid is neutralized by treatment with dilute ammonia (a teaspoon of ammonia in half-point water) or lime water, magnesia, chalk, etc. If the poison is strong base, then it can be combated with mild acid, dilute acetic acid, vinegar, lemon juice. If the exact form of the poison is not known, then its effect should be reduced by giving egg white, sweet oil (except phosphorus poison) and sufficient amount of water or milk. Try to expel the poison as quickly as possible by placing a finger in the mouth, or by giving a sedative. Vomiting can be done by drinking plenty of plain water or by adding a spoonful of mustard syrup to a cup of hot water. Most poisons are dispelled with milk, egg whites, or hard coffee or tea. Medicines that produce symptoms as opposed to those caused by poison should be taken. If chills, fatigue and fainting occur, the poisoned person should be kept warm and given stimulants such as hard coffee or hard tea. If sleep comes, it is good to put him in a tub of hot water. If necessary, artificial respiration should be resorted to without hesitation. In the case of narcotic drugs, hard coffee should be used as soon as possible.

A doctor should be called immediately and shown to the person who is poisoned and the poison that has been ingested or may have been eaten should be reported to the doctor. If the poison has gone into the stomach, then after consulting the doctor, measures should be taken to empty the stomach.

Some common poisons and their remedies

Alcohol:

Vomiting and washing the stomach completely, drinking coffee, keeping the body cool and head warm and aromatic spirits of ammonia should be taken.

 Acids (Hydrochloric, Nitric and Sulfuric):

Consumption of sweeteners such as ammonia, baking powder, magnesia, chalk, lime water and soapy water.

 Prussic Acid:

It is a very toxic acid. Abdominal lavage, inhalation of ammonia nitrite as well as intravenous injection of sodium nitrite and sodium thiosulfate, intravenous injection of methylene, etc.

 Carbolic acid:

Consumption of soluble sulfate, light alcohol, raw egg or plain water.

 Alkali:

Dilute acid, intake of 2 to 3% acetic acid, vinegar, lemon juice. Consumption of edible oil, ghee, milk, cream and other sedative fluids.

Alkaloids (cocaine, aconite, belladonna, strychnine, opium morphine, tobacco and nicotine): rinsing the stomach with a solution of potash permanganate (1:1000) by pump; artificial respiration or oxygen respiration, drinking coffee without milk, intake of central system stimulants; Keeping the body warm and control of excitation by barbiturates.

Mercury (bichloride of mercury, mercuric chloride, vermilion, hingul):

washing with sodium formaldehyde sulfoxylate; Vomiting within 10 minutes; Consumption of egg whites and milk Consumption of sodium lactate.

Sankhiya (many insecticidal drugs contain arsenic):

Adequate intake by the tube into the stomach, or intravenous injection of sodium thiosulfate solution.

 Tutia:

washing the stomach with a pump; Consumption of water mixed with milk, egg white, soap, and flour.

 Lead :

copious rinsing, drinking Epsom salts; Consumption of egg whites and milk; Consumption of flour water.

 Iodine (tincture of iodine):

Washing the stomach with a pump, making vomit; Consumption of thick paste of flour.

Phosphorus (matching):

Washing the stomach with a solution of mild potash permanganate or hydrogen peroxide. Consumption of milk, oil or ghee is prohibited in this. Consumption of half a teaspoon of turpentine with milk or water, intake of flour, Epsom salt or machinacea.

Antimony:

Treatment should be done like mercury, milk and eggs should be consumed.

ptomaine venom:

The poison produced by the rotting of fish and meat is called tomen. This toxin is also sometimes found in canned meat and fish. A strong laxative (Ipsum salt, castor oil, etc.) is necessary to eliminate this poison. Taking enemas with little turpentine mixed, or soapy water.

Silver Poison:

Abundant intake of salty water; Consumption of milk, soap and baking soda.

Vegetable Poison:

It has no antidote. Stimulant and laxative should be taken and vomited.

Mushroom :

Abdominal lavage with a pump; keep the abdomen warm; Consumption of hard coffee and then castor oil.

Gas:

Some gases are poisonous. The person suffering from gas should be given artificial respiration, keeping the body warm, drinking coffee and enema in the open air.
