Methods of Naturopathy

The human body itself has incomparable power to destroy diseases. It is made up of five elements, the imbalance of which is the main reason for causing disease. Treatment of diseases by these elements - soil, water, sunlight, air and sky is called naturopathy. The methods of treatment and diagnosis commonly used in naturopathy are as follows:

A. Diet Therapy

What is diet therapy?

Diet therapy is a broad term for dietary changes or adoption to prevent or treat a disease or simply to promote optimal health. In some cases, an alternative dietary lifestyle plan may be developed to eliminate certain foods in order to regain health.

A wrong diet can not only lead to weight gain and skin conditions but can promote exhaustion and fatigue. Depending on the disease, if you do not follow the diet prescribed by a specialist, it can have serious consequences on your health. A good diet can prevent various diseases.

Diet therapy is not limited to weight loss: in fact, this treatment can prevent and treat a whole range of different diseases, with very different characteristics and the diet may depend on the nature of the disorder treated.

According to this therapy, the diet should be taken in its natural or maximum natural form. Season's fresh fruits, fresh green leafy vegetables and sprouted grains are suitable in this regard. These diets are broadly classified into three categories -

1. Purifying agent Diet: Juice -

Lemon, Citrus juice, Raw coconut water, Vegetable soup, Buttermilk, Wheat grass juice etc.

2. Soothing food:

Fruit salad, boiled/steamed vegetables, sprouted grains, vegetable chutney etc.

3. confirmatory diet:

Whole Flour, Canned Rice, Fewer Pulses, Sprouts, Yogurt etc.

Being alkaline, these diets prove to be helpful in improving health, purifying the body and making it free from diseases. Therefore, it is essential that there is a proper combination of these diets. To be healthy our food should be 20% acidic and 80% alkaline. A person who wants to maintain good health should take a balanced diet. In naturopathy, diet is considered as the basic medicine.

B. Fasting Therapy

Fasting Therapy is one of the most important natural ways to stay healthy. Mental preparation is an important action to get effective results in fasting. Anyone can fast for a day or two.

Naturopathy believes that fasting is a process of complete physical and mental relaxation. The digestive system is at rest during this process, so the prana energy that digests the food is completely involved in the process of expulsion. This is also the purpose of fasting. Fasting therapy is an excellent therapy to remove disorders of the mind and body. Fasting is recommended for the prevention of diseases related to digestion, asthma, breathing, obesity, high blood pressure and arthritis etc.

 C. Soil Therapy or Mud Therapy

Mud therapy is very simple and effective. The soil used for this should be clean and 3-4 feet below the ground. It should not contain any adulteration, stone or chemical fertilizers etc.

Soil therapy or mud therapy is used to cool the body. The clay dissolves and absorbs the body's contaminants and finally flushes them out of the body. Earthen strips and mud baths are the main remedies. It is successfully used in various diseases like constipation, tension headache, high blood pressure and skin diseases etc. A clay bandage is applied on the forehead in case of headache and high blood pressure.

Soil has vitality, soil is full of all virtues. Therefore, soil has the ability to remove diseases. When all living beings are unwell, they lie down in the mud or go into the mud. And having received vitality from the soil again, they become stronger. Similarly, in ancient times, sages and sages rubbed mud on the body, they are freed from the troubles of winter and heat. Similarly, soil removes all the diseases of a person.

C. Hydrotherapy

Like soil, water is also considered to be the oldest means of medicine. Taking a nice bath with clean, fresh and cool water is an excellent form of hydrotherapy. By taking such a bath, all the pores of the body are opened. There is lightness and vigor in the body. All the body's institutions and muscles become active and blood circulation is also better.

The practice of bathing in rivers, ponds and springs on special occasions is actually a natural form of hydrotherapy. Other means of hydrotherapy include sciatica, enemas, hot-cold compresses, hot foot baths, spine baths, steam baths, full tub baths, hot-cold bandages, abdominal, chest and leg wraps, etc., which are its curative uses. Water therapy is mainly used to stay healthy as well as prevent various diseases.

How is hydrotherapy done?

According to the proponents of hydrotherapy, cold water causes contraction in our blood vessels, due to which the flow of blood from the surface of the body towards the internal organs. Hot water dilates our blood vessels, which activates the sweat glands and flushes out the waste material from the body tissues.

D. Massage Therapy

What is massage therapy?

Massage therapy involves manipulating and rubbing the soft tissues of the body with a special focus on muscles and pressure points. Massage therapy may be used as part of physical therapy, or to help relax areas where muscles are tight. In other cases, massage therapy may focus on pressure points in the body that are thought to relieve pain or health problems in other parts of the body.

Massage is also a method of naturopathy and is essential to stay healthy. It is used to improve blood circulation while strengthening the limbs. Sunbathing after a full body massage during winters is a familiar way to stay healthy and active all the time. It is beneficial for everyone; it benefits from both massage and sun ray therapy. The specific uses of massage in diseased conditions provide relief from various disease symptoms by producing the required therapeutic effect. Massage is a good option for those who cannot exercise. The effects of exercise can be produced through massage.

E. Sun Ray Therapy or Sun Element Therapy

Sun rays composed of seven colors have different therapeutic effects. These colors are violet, blue, sky blue, green, yellow, orange and red. These colors work effectively in staying healthy and in the treatment of various diseases. Colored bottles filled with water and oil, placing them in front of the sun's rays for a certain period of time and colored glasses are used as sun-ray therapy tools for the treatment of various diseases. Simple methods of sun ray therapy effectively help in the process of health improvement.

According to the theory of Surya therapy, the cause of the disease is the increase and increase of colors in the body. According to sun ray therapy, different colors have different properties. Red creates enthusiasm and blue creates energy. To take advantage of these colors, water is consumed by keeping it in colored bottles for eight-nine hours.

The human body is made up of chemical elements. Color is a chemical mixture. The color of the body is the same in the part of the body in which there is excess of color. As skin color is whitish, hair color is black and eyeball is white in color. The symptoms of the disease are manifested by the increase or decrease of a particular color in the body, as lack of blood is a symptom of lack of red color in the body.

Sun is the storehouse of health and vitality. The more a person is exposed to the sun, the healthier he will be. People who keep their house closed with windows from all sides and do not allow sunlight to enter the house are always sick.

Where the sun's rays reach, the germs of the disease automatically die and the disease does not take birth. The sun showers various essential elements with its rays and by holding those elements in the body, incurable diseases are also removed.

 F. Air Therapy

Air and water are most important for life on earth. From both of these there is existence of life on earth. The human body is made up of five elements earth, sky, air, water and fire. In which air is considered as the second fundamental element. Just as water is life, so air is the life of living beings. If we do not get air for a few seconds, then we start feeling like Af Anahat (shortness of breath). If there is no air on it for some more time, then life can also be lost. Therefore, air is an essential element for the survival of human beings. Under Vayu therapy, all diseases of the body are treated with air intake.

Clean air is essential for good health. Vayu therapy can be availed by air bath. For this, taking off clothes or wearing light clothes, one should walk daily in a clean secluded place where there is enough air. In many diseases, doctors also recommend air bath. Pranayama is also used therapeutically as a method of air therapy.

What is air intake?

Air intake is known in English as morning walk or air bath. At the same time, in colloquial language, it is also called eating air or walking. And feeding the body fresh air is called air bath. It is an action that cleanses both the internal and external organs of the body. If this action is performed by removing clothes or wearing light clothes, then it proves to be very beneficial for the body.

Like ours, breathing is very important for the pores of the skin. These pores also breathe air. Therefore, wearing tight clothes all the time makes the body pale. Because due to such clothes, the pores of the skin get clogged. As a result, serious diseases like constipation, chest pain, gas and diabetes surround the human being. Air intake in this form is not only a necessity of life, but also an art, a nutrient, a pleasure, a gift of nature and the best exercise in the world.
